Gov’s aide tasks Delta community on unity

IBUSA—MEMBERS of Umuesugo family, Ezukwu Ibusa in Oshimili North Local Government Area, Delta State, have been called upon to remain united and continue to support the current administration in the state.

The Special Assistant to the governor on Community Development, Mr Ojeogbue Nnabuife gave the charge as a special guest at the occasion to usher in the new  year by the people of Umuesugo Ezukwu community in Ibusa.

According to him, the yearly event was a means to create an atmosphere to deliberate on ways to develop the area.

He commended the people especially the elders led by Diokpa Okine Nnabuife and others for their leadership roles in the community.

Also, a philanthropist in the area, Mr. E. Okonji in a statement admonished the people, including the youths to avoid getting involved in anything that will jeopardize the peace of the area.

Earlier, the eldest and head of Umuesugo community Ezukwu Diokpa Okine Nnabuife, had appealed to sons and daughters of the area to contribute their quota to the overall socio-economic development of the area.

Highpoint of the celebration was formal presentation and endorsement of an illustrious son of the community and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP ward 4 elected cancellors,  Mr. Emeka Nwannabuogwu,  who in his remarks  thanked all for their support.

He  promised not to let them down, adding that he will in collaboration with the leaders of the party, the state governor and the National Assembly member representing  Delta North, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi attract more dividends of democracy to the area.
